MANILA- Tropical Depression Samuel left the Philippine area of responsibility Thursday night, the state weather bureau said.
PAGASA said Samuel’s center was spotted outside the country as of 6 p.m.
Samuel, the 19th storm to hit the Philippines this year, made a total of 6 landfalls and dumped heavy rains in the Visayas region.
PAGASA on Thursday morning warned of another storm that might enter the country this weekend.
Tropical storm Man-yi (international name) will likely enter the country either by Sunday or Monday and will be named “Tomas,” the weather bureau said.
Man-yi currently packs maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour (kph), with gusts of up to 105 kph. It is moving west-northwest at a speed of 45 kph.
