It will be better for the Philippines to stay in the International Criminal Court so President Rodrigo Duterte can clear his name, a group said.
The Philippine Coalition for the ICC said President Duterte was simply paranoid over the interest of the Hague Court to examine the killings in the drug war.
The coalition’s chairman, Atty. Ray Santiago said the international court was just a guarantee victims of crimes can attain justice.
He added the withdrawal of the Philippines will now affect how the international community views the country’s moral standards.
