CEBU CITY — Around P6.8 million worth of suspected shabu were confiscated from an alleged drug courier in an operation in Barangay San Nicolas, Cebu City Sunday.
The 18-year-old suspect, a resident of Barangay Duljo, also in Cebu City, was arrested half past 3 p.m.
Authorities said they have been monitoring the suspect’s movement for about two weeks before initiating the operation.
Seized from the suspect were packs of suspected shabu, a caliber .38 revolver and bullets.
Police said the subject tried to evade arrest by firing a gun at the operatives. They fired back, hitting the suspect on his right leg.
The suspect admitted he was a drug courier and that he was paid P1,000 cash for each delivery.
He, however, said he did not know where the illegal drugs came from.
