Hilbay wants to be ‘a new voice’ for the people in Senate

MANILA – Former Solicitor General Florin Hilbay, who will be running under the opposition slate, said he wants to be a new voice for the people in the Senate.

Hilbay believes given the performance of the current administration, the people will feel the urge to look at what the opposition has to offer in the upcoming midterm polls.

Hilbay, a known critic of the Duterte administration, arrived at the Comelec office in the morning with his family and supporters.

He said if elected senator, his priority will be keeping an eye on the government’s budget and on the performance of the country’s officials.
