Ecija village official killed, dumped with shabu, cash

A barangay (village) councilman was shot dead and then dumped in a grassy area on Sunday night (April 9).
Fernando Vendivil, 45, councilor and resident of Barangay Macabaclay, was not under surveillance for drugs, so the police were puzzled by a sachet of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) and less than P14,000 in cash that were found among his belongings.

Brooklyn Beckham is starting to take after his dad when it comes to getting inked. The 18-year-old got his first tattoo earlier this month and documented the whole process on Instagram. “Thank you so much Mark x just like dads,” he captioned a photo of tattoo artist Mark Mahoney hard at work on his arm. He also posted a few more shots of the process as well as the finished product: a Native American chief wearing a traditional headdress. Brooklyn’s dad, David, is known for his tattoos, many of which are tributes to his children.

And we are done x

While Brooklyn seems to be delighted with his first tattoo, other people aren’t as thrilled. After Brooklyn shared the news on social media, people were quick to call him out for cultural appropriation. “You guys live in England and he’s getting a tattoo of a Native American? #futureregrets,” one user wrote. Another chimed in, “I feel like this is offensive just like it’s offensive to wear a Native American headdress at Coachella. It would be one thing if you were honored with one by an actual Native American…but if you weren’t, then honestly you have no business wearing it.”

While Brooklyn has yet to respond to the controversy, the aspiring photographer got his second tattoo over the weekend. The ink is a detailed design of a camera on his left arm, and Brooklyn shared a photo of it on Instagram on Sunday, writing, “Great second tattoo by @_dr_woo_.” Thoughts on the new ink?

Ashton Kutcher Dedicates His Role Model Award to Wife Mila Kunis

Ashton Kutcher has a lot of love for his family. The actor gave a sweet tribute to his wife, Mila Kunis, and their two children, 2-year-old Wyatt and 4-month-old Dimitri, as he accepted the Robert D. Ray Pillar of Character Award, which is given annually to “individuals who demonstrate good character as a role model,” in his native Iowa on Saturday. “This award is for my family, it’s for all four of my parents, it’s for my wife, who kicks my ass on character every day,” he said. “I mean, I’m telling you, this morning, I woke up and she kicked my ass on character. I thought I was awesome because I got up early and helped with the kids before she woke up and I let her sleep a little bit and then she’s like, ‘Well, now you’re gonna act tired? I do it every day.’ But it was a character moment, right? Because she’s right! But the greatest, greatest lesson in character in my life are my kids. When I had these kids, my wife and I had these kids and we got to share that amazing, amazing, amazing honor, my first response was, I wanted to call my parents and say, ‘I’m sorry, because I never knew how much you loved me.'”

After giving a shout-out to his parents, who divorced when he was 16, he referenced his own divorce from Demi Moore in 2013. “I had the great fortune of getting a divorce because I felt the impact of it and I felt how much loss is in there and how much love is in there and that it’s not neat or clean or messy,” he continued. “And I understood, finally, my parents’ divorce in a whole different way.”
